Squidward and Squilliam: What If, they....?

Switched bodies? What if they, instead of switching Just lives, they are cursed to wake up in the other's body? Had this idea last night, I think SpongeBob lacks this episode idea.

That's an interesting idea. Actually, I'll admit it's a fanfic idea I've idly considered, though never did anything with, but like just an idle thought that's occured to me occasionally, as it tends to happen a lot in other cartoons that characters will switch bodies.

It could be really neat. I think both would go kind of crazy, though.

I mean, Squidward would probably at first adore the luxury, fame, etc, at first, but would get frustrated with being followed around everywhere (we saw how much he adored his fans in the episode where he became "beautiful" and then "handsome".. the novelty wore of REALLY fast).

I think Squilliam would probably have a nervous breakdown being in Squidward's "tentacles". (No jewel-encrusted toilet paper holders, gilded doorknobs, or whirlpool bubblebath elevators... and no "big and valuble" unibrow. ;) )

An interesting twist, though, would be if Squilliam actually LIKED the peace and quiet, the humbleness of Squidward's life in comparison to his own. But it'd be hard to pull that one off believably.. it's hard to imagine him liking that at all, given his extravertedness and ego.

I'm actually surprised it hasn't been done already - if not in the cartoon, then comics. It seems like such an obvious episode idea.

There's probably fanfic of it though - however, I haven't found any yet, so... maybe not.

Although Squiddy's life, isn't always peace and quiet. Besides that, you given me an idea for the Looking Glass. ;)..

Yeah, Squiddy has had his moments - and, of course, he has a knack for getting mobbed by Bikini Bottomites. I still don't think those are things Squilliam would adore. ;)

I'd like to see how Squilliam deals with SB and Pat as neighbours, though, LOL! I think that could be really hilarious, and is something I've sort of touched on in my stories (well, how he deals with them - specifically seen in the "Saving Squid and Starfish" one; as in "Lemonade" and "Elevator", he's had pretty much nothing to do with them).

(Disclaimer: I keep my "questionable" Squidward/Squilliam stuff to the Squidiam thread, though. ;) )
