What's your deal when it comes to trick or treaters?

Do you give stuff to teenagers and older kids or do you only give stuff to the younger kids with their parents?

Do you secretly hate children and wish trick or treating wasn't a thing?

All of these questions and more to be answered below. (hopefully)

We pretend there's nobody home and don't answer the door. We don't often get people trick or treating anyway, I don't think we got any last year.

We don't really get many ToT-ers on my block, but when we do we pass out candy. Normally I go trick or treating, and I was all up to do it this year, but 1)All of my friends were like "we're too old" which is BS cuz you're never too old for free candy but whatever 2)I have musical rehearsal until 8:00 so I'm having a party at 8:30 3) We have a freeze warning in the area because it's gonna be like 28 Fahrenheit outside during trick or treat hours (freeze warning is "Widespread sheltered temperatures at or below 32 °F (0 °C) during the growing season. A freeze may occur with or without frost.") From wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severe_weather_terminology_(United_States)

I'd just stay home and give out candy, but we don't live right on the street so I don't really think we get many trick or treaters.

EDIT: Also, I want to be home to see how many points the Clippers destroy the Lakers by.

I go trick or treating. But when it comes to giving out candy, I tell them to go away. And that's it.

I won't do anything tonight since i'm not a kid anymore. And no kids ever pass through here asking for candy.

I stopped trick or treating a while ago, and I've never given out candy to kids.

I am going to a Halloween party tonight, though, at my local coffee shop.

I have to be honest, I think there is a fine line with this. It's cute seeing younger kids dressed up and all, but I think at a certain point it's like you're old enough to buy the candy on your own lol, and you're just knocking on a stranger's door asking them for stuff that they could give to the younger kids instead.

I think the worst though are the teenagers who knock on your door without even dressing up, I don't think that's ever happened to us, but that's just plain rude lol.

What age do you people think is too old to go trick-or-treating?
I think it depends really. Depends on your culture and where you live.

So tonight here in Toronto it might snow at trick-or-treating time, but I live in a Apartment building so I don't give anything out, and at school I was a ZOMBEH OOOOO and it's going to be 0 degrees Celsius (which I think is 32 in Fahrenheit), and i tmight be below freezing. When I left school, there was candy everywhere in the back so my parents bought a lot of it. So no, I will not be going.

I miss being a kid so much. :( Lucky Sophie and her ability to do it until.. like 17? :O

And no, the cold played no factor whatsoever. In fact, the cold is one of the main reasons I wish I were going. At least my mom let me buy candy, so that's something to look forward to.

We got no trick or treaters tonight unfortunately, but it means more sweets for us!
