1) I agree with you, there was no need for him to get mad at people just for joking around a little.
2) It didn't even involve you anyway, why are you getting into it?
3) He didn't do anything THAT bad, there's no reason to make an entire topic about it. Perhaps PM a staff member.
4) There's no reason to call him a "sexist racist homophobic ageist and nationlist" those words are completely irrelevant to the circumstances.
5) Could you please specify the member's name better, there are multiple member with spongy in their name.

Wow. Just wow. This post you made is low, even for you. Just because SpongyMaterial over reacted a little doesn't mean he's a sexist, racist, homophobic, ageist (is that even a real word?) or nationalist. No one on this site is. In fact, how did you even learn these kinds of words in the first place? Was this topic even necessary in the first place? I think not. You guys are equally as guilty for saying SpongyMaterial is immature and threatening him.
 
I know you mean well and don't mean to anger others, but you cannot make a new thread insulting a member. In fact, insulting like that would be against the rules completely. If in the event that you see something on the forums that bothers you, don't go insulting the member, that just makes things worse. Instead, just click the "report" button, and the staff will decide whether something needs to be done
