Hi, I'm normal.
From licensing.biz:The popular animated sponge will swap his regular brown trousers for denim to encourage people to sign up with children's charity.
SpongeBob SquarePants has become the character ambassador for this year’s Jeans for Genes appeal.
SpongeBob along with Patrick Star, Gary the Snail and Sandy Cheeks will swap their regular attire for denim to encourage people to sign up and help raise funds for the charity.
To celebrate the partnership between Nickelodeon and the organisation, exclusive key rings featuring SpongeBob in his new denim look are available from the charity’s website: www.jeansforgenes.org/shop.
The Jeans for Genes initiative helps to raise money for the vital care and support for children with genetic disorders.
The partnership will also be supported across the Nickelodeon network, including activity at Nickelodeon Land, part of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Laura Pattison, campaign director at Jeans for Genes, said: “We are delighted to have SpongeBob SquarePants on board as our character ambassador for this year’s appeal.
“The fundraising done by schools all over the UK is instrumental in helping us raise all-important funds for the vital care and support of children born with genetic disorders.”
Tina McCann, managing director, Nickelodeon UK and Ireland, added: “With his mix of positivity, kindness and now denim, we are confident SpongeBob SquarePants will be a fantastic ambassador for such a worthwhile cause.”
Jeans for Genes Day will take place on September 19th, and since its inception has so far raised more than £40million for affected children and families.
