Robert Ryan Corey posted an alternate version of the poster on FaceBook. I won't post it, because it's private, but his version is AMAZING. Totally different poster- Mr. Krabs and Patrick in superhero form!

No, I would, but I don't even have it saved on my computer, and it's from his private FB account so I feel bad sharing it here. Sorry, one of the mods will probably find it soon.
 
I can describe it, though; SpongeBob and Plankton are running from the entire population of Bikini Bottom (or at least a lot of people), with the Krusty Krab in the background. Mr. Krabs and Patrick have Superhero costumes (Mr. Krabs' claws are black and have spikes), Squidward looks like some sort of half-squid, half-...something, Sandy is extremely angry, and there's a few guys in trucks and strange fish that look really tough.

RRC joked that they were trying to hug him.

Well, now we know that the plot isn't just "a pirate steals a burger". This has raised my hopes!

Couldn't you ask him for permission since you're able to see his private account and everything? From my talk with him on Cartoon Brew one time, he seemed like a very nice dude.

Did it sound like it's actually going to be released? As in, is it a real, complete poster or an alternative concept that ultimately wasn't used? CGI/2D/sketch?

This description sounds interesting. SpongeBob and Plankton running away? I wonder if this means they are on the same side. Were they running away from the rest of the gang, or was everybody running away together?

I know it will probably get passed around anyway but I wouldn't want him to see it on SBM after he asked people to keep it private.

You can only view it if you're friends with him on Facebook anyway, so that probably means that it's private.

It seems like SpongeBob did something to get everybody mad at him, but maybe everyone's working together and it just looks like they're chasing SB and Plankton because SB is screaming and they're both really far ahead. You can see 2 boatmobiles in mid-air, and there's a giant cloud of smoke behind the angry mob that's chasing SB. Most of the people in the angry mob don't look like fish; they look like weird octopus-snail monsters, or whales or something. Plankton is actually running in front of SB, so maybe there's an angry mob chasing SpongeBob, and SpongeBob is chasing Plankton. And so on.

They're not using that poster, so never....

The official poster is the one with the crab pulling down his shorts. I will "officially" share work when the trailer airs.

The other poster that some people are talking about looks pretty good, and I guess there's more to the plot according to it :P
 
I think that when they are trying to get to land, some muscular fish or random octopuses or something will attack them. The reason for this is that in the alternate poster there is an angry mob chasing them, but the angry mob isn't made up of generic fish; it's made up of strange sea life that has never appeared in the show.

It could be like in the first movie when SpongeBob and Patrick had to go through the monster trench.

Hey, guys, I think I speak here for everyone when I suggest that you'll stop talking about that "alternative poster". Since we're not going to see it anyway, talking about it won't contribute to the discussion, and it's pretty irritating.
