Squidville: These designs are quite pleasant looking, but they're very bland. They're just basically copies of Squidward. It's not ugly, but it's not interesting either.

Cephalopod Lodge: I hate these designs a lot. They may be unique, but they are extreme eyesores. They don't make sense and it's even worse compared to a relatively plain design like Squidward.

Smoothe Jazz in Bikini Bottom: Out of the 3 designs, these are my favorite. They are quite unique and not carbon copies of Squidward, and at the same time, they actually look like pretty good. They're not overly different to the point of ugliness, so it's a great middle ground.

Which fellow squid design do you like best and which one you find the worst?

The designs of the cephalopods in Squidville and Smooth Jazz are the best designs of Octopi there is. However, I agree with the ugly designs for Cephalopod Lodge, It like they're aliens or from another universe! The ones for Smooth Jazz and Squidville just look like they belong in the show alot more.

Yeah I've always thought the CL were mostly odd looking. Smooth Jazz in BB works for me, I still have nothing against Squidville's/Tentacle Acres' design though. Maybe because I'm used to carbon copies? (Squidly)

While the Squids in Sqidville aren't bad looking they were designed to look just like Squidward on purpose.
The Cephalopod Lodge designs are just butt ugly to look at, one thing I notice about new Spongebob characters is that they add a little to much detail to them so they just stick out a little to much, this is something that seems to be being fixed recently.

And the Smooth Jazz designs look pretty nice, they look familiar like Squidward but they still differentiate themselves so they don't look like carbon copies.

Also I've never even seen that episode, I should watch it soon.

I knew I liked something about the recent Season 9 animation. They shove less gross stuff in your face.

Also, save your sanity and don't watch Smoothe Jazz at Bikini Bottom.

The third. The "Squidville" designs are obviously supposed to look just like Squidward, because that's the joke, so I think the "Smoothe Jazz" designs are a better representation of what other cephalopods would realistically look like in the show. They're varied but also Squidward-like.

Smoothe Jazz wins this one.

I don't really hate that episode that much mainly because Kelpy G is in it, but I can see why a lot of other people do. I'll probably rewatch it since that was one of the ones I couldn't find a decent copy of online without having to buy it.

Smooth Jazz and Squidville - like everyone else said, the CL designs are ugly. When I first saw that episode, before the others, I was like "If this is what other octopi on the show are going to look like, then I probably don't need to see 'Squidville'.." (I didn't know about "Smooth Jazz" until a few months ago when it played here - Cephelopod Lodge was actually one of the earlier episodes I saw when I started watching the show last year..)

EDIT: Anyway, I voted for 'Smooth Jazz'.

I vote for Smooth Jazz in BB as the best. There's a bigger variety in designs for that episode. The squids also look unique and different. The squids from Cephalopod Lodge also look different but not in the best way. I suppose it's good that the animators at least tried to give em a variety but it fell flat. As for Squidville, they all look like Squidward, but I think that was intentional. Nonetheless, all look unique in their own way but again, my favorite is the designs from Smooth Jazz.
