Baseball. Hockey. SBM vet. I drop in unexpectedly.
I know this has been discussed before, jus starting a new thread about it...
Our latest example? "SpongeBob vs. The Goo," which is not only the worst name for a special in the show's history, but it actually prevented me up until now from realizing that this episode was actually the elusive "It Came From Goo Lagoon." (Granted, I probably should have figured that out on my own, but still.)
I believe someone once said that they did it for marketing purposes. But that still doesn't explain it to me. Either use the REAL episode titles, or, if the real episode title isn't considered "catchy" enough (or whatever), then just have them use the alternate title that you're going to use anyway! Make the two synonymous!
Do you know how many years it took me to realize that my favorite episode was NOT named "SpongeBob's House Party"?
Really, I just despise this practice and am looking for some sort of explanation.
